I'm tired of it.
My favorite time of the year. I love the hot weather though I'm not crazy about the humidity. Why do I love it so much? More so because of the sense of freedom that I get when this season comes around and the memories it brings of summers past. The weather allows for other activities during the week other than work and home. I can go take a walk after work along the river or if not I can sit at the Oval in my apartment complex, I can go see the free concerts that are sponsored in various city parks either during the lunch hour or after work. Weekends will find me at the beach just enjoying the sound of the waves, the laughter of the children playing and the music blasting from the beach neighbors. Feeling the rays of the sun (with sunblock of course) looking at the pristine blue sky with a wisp of clouds that brings a sense of peace and tranquility. Or strolling along a street fair - which happen to be my favorite, lots of food and odds and ends to buy :)
I don't even mind the thunderstorms that we get as a result of the humidity, only reminds me of the fresh clean scents of my tropical home.
For me summer is loving the warmth and not having to rush inside because it's freezing outside. It's feeling the warmth in my bones and my soul as opposed to scrunching up to ward off the cold wind. It's loving the longer days full of light as opposed to the short dark days of winter.
I'm happiest in the summer months for those reasons and so many more....
But it only lasts a couple of months so I enjoy it to the fullest :)
hmmm....maybe it's time to consider moving to a place that's warm all year long....

What is your definition of cheating?
For me cheating is anything that involves dishonesty and lying, whether it be in a relationship, academics or work. But it's more painful when it involves relationship because then it's the added layer of betrayal and breach of trust.
What are your neighbors like? (The ones you live near or next to, not the ones in your Vox neighborhood!)
For the most part my neighbors are rather quiet and I can appreciate that. I've been here a few years now and the neighborhood that I used live in was notoriously noisy. Mind I don't mind noise but when it's 3 a.m. in the morning and you're still blasting your music so that people within a two block radius can hear you, it becomes quite irritating. I also enjoy the anonymity (no I'm not a celebrity =) ) here I'm just another face and I don't mind that at all. I do recognize people on the train or as I walk along the main strip or when I'm grocery shopping. In my previous neighborhood I was a familiar face b/c I was very involved in the community and so I felt that there was more scrutiny in my comings and goings.
At first it bothered me that I wasn't familiar with my neighbors and that I know so few of them by name, but now it doesn't bother me anymore. Even so we help each other out. I have one neighbor who watches my cats for me if I'm going to be away for a few days and the other night someone in my building saw me coming home and was nice enough to buzz me into the building so I wouldn't have to search for my keys.
